Hi

Is anyone using this ibm_db driver to connect to an IBM i (formerly AS/
400)? I'd like to use it to connect with SQLAlchemy.

If you want to connect i Series remotely with ibm_db then IBM Data
Server Driver Package (DS Driver) and DB2 Connect product have to
installed on your client machine. We have already discussed about this
on thread http://groups.google.com/group/ibm_db/browse_thread/thread/ed68b178cdbee4ea.

If you need more information then feel free to ask us.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info.  Now, is there a way for me to get a trial version of this software?

You can contact your iSeries (DB2) administrator who might already
have some of these licenses at hand. If the administrator does not
have them, please contact your IBM sales person or your IBM Partner
and they will provide you with a DB2 connect trial license

I've already done all of that. There is no trial available according to the web. I contacted IBM and the person I talked with didntt know much about it.
