Hi community!

I want to fill in an .csv exported template with certain values on my pc. After that I want to open this file (with the edited values) via IAuditor.

If I do that, I can open the template, but all the edited values are gone.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello Wassili,

You need to follow a particular template format for the iAuditor app for the template to import successfully.

Could you please send the CSV Template to us so we can look into the issue?

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Haydee

Hello Wassili,

Thank you for forwarding the file. It looks like you have exported an audit CSV and not a Template CSV. Audit CSVs won't work properly when imported back into the app. This Knowledge Base article provides more information about exporting Template CSVs.

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Haydee

Hello Haydee,

I have also tried and no success! Enclosed the new CSV!

I want to enter data in a CSV template and then import into iAudit but my data-input is not imported.

As example:

When I import the template then the value for the field: “Kundendaten”  is in iAudit empty.

What I doing wrong?

Best Regards,

Wassili

Hello Wassili,

Unfortunately, the value you placed for this item is incorrect. If you remove the "Customer" you placed on the Value column, the template will import properly into the app. If you want to edit the CSV template, you will have to follow the iAuditor format as explained on the User Guide (starting on page 69).

I have also attached a csv importing guide to assist you further.

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Haydee

Is it possible to open an audit CSV from another device? I've attempted to open an audit CSV file from iAuditor, but it imports as a blank template. How can I share audits without the cloud?

Hi Ron,

If you would like to share a template from one device to the other, you can email a Template CSV, or use the Open With function to upload the template to a service such as Google Drive or Dropbox. Audit CSVs are not intended or designed to be opened on another device after being shared by email, which is the reason you are seeing blank templates.

To export a Template CSV:

These instructions will apply for any user that has purchased Template CSV/iAuditor Template exporting.

  1. Launch iAuditor, and tap on the "Templates" view.
  2. Tap on the "Export" button underneath the template title. It looks like an open-sided box with an arrow protruding from it.
  3. You will be given the choice of export format: either "Template CSV", or "iAuditor Template".
  4. An email will be generated with the template automatically attached.
  5. Enter your recipient/s email address, and tap "Send".
If there is anything else that we can assist with, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Young
