Any information you enter into an audit is only stored on your iPad locally. No one else has access to that information.
The only way you can share a completed audit is if you email it to a third party or link a dropbox account to the device.
Any audit template that you create can be shared if you choose to share it on the cloud, but only the blank template is shared.
SafetyCulture collects some anonymous usage statistics, including the number of templates being shared, the number of times templates are used and the names of the templates being used. We do not have access to any information contained within the audit.
Select the "templates" icon at the bottom of the app. Then select the "cloud" menu item. You will then see a pop up box asking for some information about your template. Then select "Share my template".
How do I delete a template from the cloud?
Go to the Cloud icon at the bottom of your screen.
Can I share a template with publishing it on the public cloud?
Yes, you can share a template by exporting the CSV Template file and emailing it to another device for direct importing. Simply open the email on the target device, hold your finger on the file and the iAuditor option will appear. Once you select iAuditor, the template will be created.
Can I lock a template so it cannot be modified?
Yes, you can use the options tab at the top right to lock down a template so it cannot be edited. You can also go into the DEVICE SETTINGS tab and modify global permissions for the app where the cloud can be locked down and default emails can be setup.
Advanced Options
What is a Smart Field?
Basically, smart field options are simply rules for a set of items to appear based on the response provided.
Question: Are all fire extinguishers serviced, tagged and in correct position.
- eg. "If the answer is" "NO:" then whatever you put underneath the smart field will appear.
- You could then have more questions appear such as: What type of extinguisher is it? [Multiple Choice list: Powder, Chemical etc..]
- Then have a question: Why is the extinguisher not compliant [Text Field]
- And so on.
- You can have an unlimited number of smart fields to ensure the audit produces specific information in relation to particular items or events.
So Smart Fields give you the opportunity to build intelligent froms that allow you to have questions appear based on the answers provided in the audit.
What is a dynamic field?
A dynamic field allows you to pre-populate a set of questions or fields which is then stored in the template as an "Element". You can then add as many "elements" as you require during the audit.
Dynamic fields work well for pieces of equipment or items where the total number of items is not known until the audit is conducted.
eg. Element - Machinery
text field - Make
text field - Serial Number
Multiple Choice - Manufacturer - Ford, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Honda
Multiple Choice - Days of Use - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
etc..
