Hello, HSFC! The Board recently had a discussion about our ability to provide basic medical assistance, in the form of CPR and First Aid, during club activities especially during fishouts in remote areas where it may be an extended period of time before we can get professional medical assistance (Fire Dept./Emergency Medical Services) for an injured participant. As a result of that conversation,
we have scheduled a CPR/AED/Basic First Aid training (American Heart Association certification) which we are making available to the members.
The training is scheduled for Friday, August 22nd and Saturday, August 23rd from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Partnership Douglas in Minden. The total training time will be 10 hours spread over two days. The training cost is $140 per person and upon the successful completion of the course you will receive an American Heart Association certification card. There are only five spots still available so if you are interested, please respond to this email ASAP. Participants must pre-pay to be registered for the training.
