I had some custom work performed by
Alin,
About 1 year ago, I was looking for a machinist to fabricate a focuser end bell with flanges for my existing focuser to new tube transition for my 6 inch refractor telescope tube. These days, it is not like it used to be with many machine shops no longer open, for the remaining shops now have business models operating against making a digital model for the computer controlled machining center to function. Custom piece work is tough.
After much looking, in which I produced a precise drawing of what I wanted, I located Mr. Burroughs, and after some discussion, he produced the part exactly to my drawing, a good outcome, As he can purchase the aluminum at rates lower than you can it is not likely you will save any money going that way. I received quotes from 5 sources, glad with the results.
I suggest you contact him, let him know of your needs, send him a drawing and if the part needs to mate with other parts consider sending him the other parts as well.
He might remember the work he did for me. Let him know I sent you his way.
Hope this works out for you, all the very best
