Dear All,

Allow me to plumb the depths of your knowledge about Omega T. I tried searching the Omega T forum, but for some reason the text I enter in the search box is not registered by the search engine, giving me zero hits for all terms.

1. Is it possible to change the text size in the editor of Omega T?

2. When translating html files, is it easier as a rule to directly import the file into Omega T or do it through OpenOffice?

3. Any ideas why I can't search the Omega T forum?

Using the HTML files directly with OmegaT will let you avoid rewriting
copious tags and allow you to use the tag validation feature.

If you mean the Yahoo! Groups page, then I have no idea. Ask Yahoo!.

Thank you. I can now readjust the size of my eye lens until it no longer stings.

OK. I ask because I can see some tags in the Omega T Editor window the like of: <f0>[設問5:SA]</f0> 

and was wondering if this was a) a problem, and b) something which could perhaps be avoided if OpenOffice was used to open the html file rather than directly in Omega T.

Maybe that's the inevitable result when people use OpenOffice... :-/

We should expect OmegaT to be on the c(h)ase any moment now, however.

Those tags are not a "problem"; they're an important part of your
source text. If you don't need any of the formatting they provide,
then yes, you could convert to plain text by whatever means you prefer
before putting them into OmegaT. But then of course your output will
just be plain text, not HTML, so you'll have a lot of copying and
pasting to do if your client is expecting to receive an HTML file.
