Hi,

New to the group and first post.

When selecting 30m, there is no audible relay click and the filter display just shows ---------. On tx'ing on 30 the filter selection shows 3 and 6.
On the n2adr setup page of sdr console, i have 3 and 6 selected.
Can anyone with sdr console confirm this is a bug, or am i overlooking a setting somewhere?

Thanks,

Chris.

Some filters cover 2 bands, going from 20m to 30m nothing changes:-
60/40
30/20
17/15
20/10

Hi

as probably mentioned fiters (I  am hoping the N2ADR) BPF board supplied with the HL2 current build, is set up in a way that BPF are quite wide....so:

20m/30m shares the same.

First of all, flter 6 - is HPF, so it is cut off for everythig bellow 2MHz. It is alway active, apart fro m160m and LW/MW/660m

2nd. Filter 3 can do both 20m and 30m.

Check that the n2adr preset is as follows. Relay clicking should be audible when you select / deselect [X] Enable filter booard.....

Thank you for your reply, and taking the time to upload photos.

My config is the same as yours.

On 20 m i have the same filter selected as you, on 30m i just have -----------, except for when in transmit, then the display changes to show the filters.

I solved this. I had the bandwidth selected at 196khz. Moving it to any other selection made the filter work correctly.

If the problem is sample rate dependent, then it might be a network bandwidth problem.
I don’t think the filter bandwith has anything to do with the sampl rate.

10gb lan here, plenty of headroom.
It must be a bug within my sdr console as i originally said, it worked fine in every other band except 30m.
Cpu usage never exceeds 0.7.

No issue here at either sample rate. Checked in RX and TX. Odd.

Are you running the latest version of SDRC? There was an issue with filter selection a few months back. I forget exactly what it was but Simon solved it. It was not related to sample rate. I think it was a bug in split TX/RX operation where the filters took only the RX freq filter setting even in TX, or something like that. Anyway, it's fully fixed now. Check for latest version anyway just in case it was related.

Thank you for suggestions. Using latest version. I may reinstall at some point. I only use the HL2 for digi stuff so can live with the small bandwidth. I downloaded OpenHPSDR and filters work as expected, so looks like an error in my sdr console somehow.

Well that explains – I am usually running 48kHzIF@BW.

True is that HL2 filters on the virtual LO so once it gets out of configured band, filters go away as per config.

Good rule is to select HPF for Others, (you need to turn off if you listen to LW/MW) but HPF is good for overall general coverage above 2MHz and it reoves (at night mainly) unwanted LW/MW strong broadcast stations.

Good job for letting us know what was the root cause.

Jiri
