No network connection

My Hermes-Light dies a weeks ago no lights nothing so i left it and yesterday i powered it up and the frontHW led is solid and the CON/CLK led is flashing but i have no ethernet leds on.  I cannot scan the ip adress or ping the radio it is defantly not connecting to the pc    I have tried differant cables and i borrowed another Hermes and that works fine 

Has anyone had this issue and could you describe the diagnostic steps i should take please

Yes I believe I had something similar.  I had set the IP Address manually, left off for a period and next time I fired it up it did much as you described.

The fix was to do a hard reset on it (keyed a morse key on the PTT port while turning it on).  This fixed the issue.

Thanks Trevor yes i have done that but in saying it ill do it again as i have nothing to loose,   Ill report back and let you know how i go

Update -- I tried resetting again and no luck    I dont have any of the network leds on ie the 2 leds on the ethernet socket

Hi Taz,

If the two LEDs on the ethernet jack do not light, it typically means there is no cable connection. Are you certain both ends of the ethernet cable are firmly plugged in to active ports, and have you tried more than one cable? Please examine the pins of the ethernet port. Are any bent? Please post pictures of the ethernet jack as well as the top/bottom of the ethernet section of the HL2 board. Do you still see the same behavior when the HL2 is pulled from the enclosure? What voltage do you measure for Veth? See the schematic:

Thanks Steve the network cable and pc are 100% working properly   The voltage at Veth is 2.79v 
I hope these photos are ok   I noticed if i leave the hermes on the LSP led will slow flash
