Hello fellow makers,

I had an idea for the December Lego Day.
But, as it will take up part of the window display, I thought I should see what you all think.

we should do a Christmas village (post office/church/shops) surrounding a lit tree. see pic...

Let me know what you all think.
Thanks for your time

Happy coincidence, I will be setting up the lit tree tonight! (With encouragements for people to make decorations to add to it.)

I was going to use the small table in the window as a base, but feel free to replace the base as desired.

So, I'll follow my same plan as before, but I'll assume that at some point a Christmas village will appear at the base of the tree!

BTW, we have had concerns expressed about a bunch of people entering the (dusty, cluttered, possibly structurally unsound) window area to add decorations. Please be sure to collect contributions to the village OUTSIDE the window display, and then (carefully) take them in all at once and set them up yourself.

OK, there's a picture of the tree in the thread here: https://groups.google.com/g/heatsynclabs/c/Bi08SH6UOGA

It could really use a sheet or tree skirt like the one in Chris's photo, especially once the village is added. Anyone have one they could bring in?

I have a cheap Ikea end table and a small footstool that could be used to add extra tiers for displaying Lego houses. Let me know if I should bring those in. (Though we'd want that big sheet to cover them for sure.)
