Team,
I can't get TurtleBot4 Simulator to launch.
Script capture of launch and output attached as Turtlebot4Errors.txt.
Eventually stopped with ^C when
clear it was lost. Additional shutdown output followed.
Environment: Dell Inspiron 17 laptop (CORE i7) / Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy / ROS2 Humble
TurtleBot4 Simulator from https://turtlebot.github.io/turtlebot4-user-manual/software/simulation.html
Oddly I got it to launch before, but the simulated robot would not respond to commands by any means even though cmd_vel topic was publishing.
Thinking I had installed/reinstalled and fooled around too much, I decided to completely reinstall the OS from scratch. Almost hosed my laptop when the OS install crashed and booted up to GRUB>. Fortunately was able to Google a solution and salvage the situation.
But now, with a pristine environment, I can't get TurtleBot4 Simulator to fully launch.
Chat GPT4 was no help, just run-arounds.
Issue posted to the TurtleBot4 Github is awaiting a response.
Y'all's insight and solution would
be greatly appreciated!

Marco, et al.
I investigated the
controller_manager failure. It is present in the system per
'find'. Reinstall stated already latest version. I've searched
through the various launch files and can't find a reference to
controller_manager. What is it supposed to do? Is it related
to the retrieve world names failure below?
--Indicates 504 is a Gateway Timeout error. If I try either
https://fuel.ignitionrobotics.org or
I get 404 page not found errors.
If I drop the 's' and http:// I get 'site not secure'.
Will post question to
