WordPress Import Stall

I decided to try and import my posts from WordPress and everything
seemed to be working well until it got to posts 301-400 (of 686) when
it just seemed to stall. The first 300 posts seem to have imported
fine but the others were not imported.

I don't have the pingback plugin enabled as another person who seemed
to run into the same issue and found a solution in deactivating that
plugin (<a href="http://groups.google.com/group/habari-users/
browse_thread/thread/bb7c49b36deff3a8/">#</a>).

Also should the import have imported comments as well? I didn't for
me, but I guess that could be because it never got to that point of
the import.

Yikes, I apparently didn't know how to include links, here's the
correct one for that thread.

Yes - it should import all WP comments.

What happens when you repeat the import ? I seem to remember it should
skip existing posts and resume.

Can you identify the particular post it is processing ? Is there
anything obviously strange about it (Unicode characters, pingbacks/
comments)

Can you clear out all imported conent and try again ?

Is there anything obvious in Admin-Logs ?

I'm not in a position to check this at the moment, but iirc it will
import the posts again, so you'll end up with two copies.

Andy's right, there is very likely something in the post after the
last post that was imported that's stopping the import. It would be
great if we could work out what that is. Any chance of getting a copy
of your database?

I was afraid of running the importer again so I ended up just doing a
a fresh install of Habari. I didn't take a look at the logs, but it
made it through posts 1-300 and stalled at 301-400 (out of 686).

Unfortunately, that doesn't really tell us more than we knew already.
Are you willing to share your WP database so that I can try to
reproduce the problem?

Sure I'd be glad to share it if it helps.

If you could put it on the web somewhere, or email me, that would be
great. I'm away from home at the moment, so I won't get to look at it
till next week.
