Hi All,

After KML layer overlay, I see blue ballon marker on center of each
polygon in my KML, I don't want that at all.

I check KML file and completely removed IconStyle tag from it, but
its something default in google maps. Anyidea how can I simply show
KML as it is?

Thanks for your replies in advance.

Regards,
SSA

Also I tried with a transparent png image in KML but that is also
shown as a white square block, thats was looking more ugly.

I suspect that those are <Point> elements in your kml, but I can't
tell (because I can't see your kml or the problem).

Please, please, please post a link to your map that shows the problem
and to the kml you are talking about.

Do not expect a response from me to a code dump...

Larry, Thanks for your reply but I can not give the link as it's
private for customer, I know its difficult to judge for you but I am
stuck on this at the moment, I trying to get a test link but its not
there yet.

I am posting one feature of KML here:

or a kml dump...
http://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-api/web/why-including-a-link-is-critical

Make a kml file that exhibits the problem that doesn't include any
proprietary customer information (or figure it out yourself).

(but as I guessed, that placemark has a <Point> element in it...)

Larry, bang on target again. it was point, again a newbie didn't know
it was point which was giving the balloon marker, its gone now. Thank
you very much.

I know. But I said that in my first post, which you obviously either
completely ignored or didn't pay attention to...
(since you didn't post a link and you didn't try removing the Point
element, you just posted code which I specifically asked you not to
do)

No I didn't ignore it, I read your suggestion and forum guidelines (I
also participate in other forums and get annoyed when OP doesn't show
code or page but this time its me who is suffering) and I am already
working on creating a test domain next time I'll try to post the link,
its a bit problematic but its my problem.

Thanks again.
