Admob support for Amazon Appstore

Hi team,

As per a previous thread https://groups.google.com/g/google-admob-ads-sdk/c/giSoJ3x9DPU , it seems Admob does not support advertising id for Amazon FOS devices, do you know why Admob still claims to support Amazon Appstore here.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As for SDK perspective, we support Amazon store, on which you deploy your app but also using the Google Mobile Ads SDK on displaying ads. With this, when you implement the our SDK in your app, and deploy it to Amazon store, you can then link your app in your AdMob account then you will be able to receive ads.

Thanks Princess for your response. 

From what I understand is app would be able to "receive ads" but since reading advertising id is not supported on FOS devices , these ads will not be personalised, is that assumption correct ?

Hi Shweta,

With regard to your question, as long as you are able to link your app in your AdMob account, you should be able to receive ads. Then for the advertising id, you can check this article that tackled the advertising id, and to implement advertising ID in your apps, you can use the Advertising ID API.

Can you confirm if your trying to link your app into your AdMob account? If yes, kindly try linking your app using your AppStore's URL instead.
