Admob support for Fire OS

Hi team, I want to make my app live in Amazon Appstore, as per the Admob's documentation here (https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9989980?hl=en#zippy=%2Capps-listed-in-google-play-or-the-apple-app-store%2Capps-listed-in-other-android-stores-only-not-in-google-play) it says Admob supports Amazon Appstore.

Does Admob support  Amazon Ad id also if we want to show personalised ads to our customers ?

Yes, Mobile Ads SDK are supporting Amazon Appstore. You can try to link you app in your AdMob account using this guide. With regard to the amazon ad id, the Mobile Ads SDK is just using an app ID which is a unique ID number assigned to your apps when they're added to AdMob. The app ID is used to identify your apps.

By Amazon Id support what I meant was Amazon describes their advertising policy as per here, does Mobile Ads SDK support Amazon Ad Id in their sdk code as per the guidelines given by Amazon.

If yes would it be possible to share code snippet suggesting Mobile Ads SDK support for Amazon Ad Id as per their guidelines.

The advertising ID works like cookies in a web browser, is only meant for advertising purposes and enables users to reset or opt out of targeted ads within apps. In AdMob, the advertising ID is available via the google play services library: com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:21.0.0

Since this is a different product, as far as I know, if the library is not available to the other it won't possible read the advertising ID. But, as my colleague mentioned, for AdMob the advertising ID is available via the google play services library: com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:21.0.0.

Hi Google tech support team,

I'd like to follow up on this question:

As Shweta mentioned, on Amazon Fire OS devices there are NO Google Play services libraries available. 

But Amazon still provides the Advertising ID as described here: https://developer.amazon.com/docs/policy-center/advertising-id.html

Is the GMA SDK utilizing these options by Amazon in order to get the advertising ID for advertising purposes? 

We're using the GMA SDK to access AdMob as well as Google Ad Manager and at latter we've set up some 3rd-party demand sources directly, which would need to get access to the Amazon Advertising ID. We're struggling to get this properly working though and are wondering, if Google is supporting this at all. 

It's not really clear to me yet based on the discussion in this thread so far. 

In AdMob Reporting I can see, that for our Amazon app using the GMA SDK the majority of the traffic is handled with "No (serving) restriction", so it's serving "Ads that are personalized using IDFA (iOS), AAID (Android), or other available user identifiers."

Thank you for your inquiry. As of today, the Android Google Mobile Ads SDK does not collect the Amazon Advertising ID. This is acknowledged and is currently being addressed by the engineering team.

With "currently being addressed by the engineering team", do you mean they are working on it at the moment to add that capability to the SDK? 

If so, do you have an ETA or target SDK version for which you're planning to release it?
