Last snapshot builds allows to define new time-dependent measures groups and to add additional fields to builtin ones, Symbols are used in formulas and Names are the translatable versions to show in the UI, units for both metric and imperial settings can be used together with the corresponding conversion factor to obtain the imperial units valued from the metric value. CSV headers are used to identify the corresponding column when importing measures from CSV files, more than one can be included separated by commas. Each group is limited to 16 fields.

Besides the included Nutrition group a Blood Pressure example can be found at: https://groups.google.com/g/golden-cheetah-users/c/UwB2FO0M8GI, other users has required the ability to import Sleep data, so this could be another use.

Comments and examples are welcome, Ale.

Hello Ale
regarding the nutrition group and tracking the daily calories consumption, what would be the best approach to do it using a mobile phone and then importing into gc?
i thought  of something  as simple as a csv file stored on phone and then imported into gC but that would require some manual work
Do you know of any mobile apps that would do the job?

thanks

Ale, I have tried adding the new measure of sleep duration.
Captura.PNG
Once I save and restart the program, the entire column appears with a value of 0.

What am I doing wrong?

There are several apps you could use for that purpose, a good food database and the ability to add your own recipes with automatic calorie and macronutrients calculations is very useful, some even can read barcodes and nutrition labels. MyFitnessPal is one of the most popular, but there are other options, do some research and choose one you like and find practical.

Currently only decimal values are supported, look at the import file ane, if those values are in sexagesimal (hh:mm) format, you will need to convert them to decimal in a spreadsheet before to import.

There are new snapshot builds which can import CSV with values in sexagesimal format to avoid the need to transform the source files, in the table these values will be shown in decimal format but, both Overview and User charts, allows to display values in time format with the proper conversion.

Since this is included in v3.6 DEV2101 and new users may find the previous description incomplete, it is worth to remind this feature is a generalization of v3.5 Body/Hrv measurements, so the mechanisms to import the new measures data from CSV, edit and access them from formulas, charts and APIs are just the same and they are documented in the wiki, a search for Measures may help: https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/search?q=Measures&type=wikis

The new User Charts in v3.6 are specially useful to plot custom daily measures, the following example shows macronutrient distribution as % of energy intake and relative to body weight (g/kg):
