Hello,

Following my recently raised issue on the location of teh Athlete Library location not updating.

I have now checked the Wiki and Issues and Chat.

It appears that I need a GoldenCheetah.ini , which doesn't exist on my system. The Wiki suggest that it should be in AppData/Roaming for golden Cheeta, but this does not exist on my system and the Appdata/local does not have it either.  I have checked the dode, and the repository lists no such file.

Any ideas?

BTW, this is an example of what a user should NOT do when has a problem: first create a GitHub issue, please don’t do that. I can understand new users doing that, but from long time users this is unacceptable.
The expected behavior would be: read the relevant part of the wiki, search this forum, discuss your problem here providing enough context to get help, ideally from other users. When and if a bug is confirmed is the time to create a GitHub use, it is the last resource not the first one.
Thanks for your collaboration, Ale.

Thanks for your response.

I've now read this Wikki and other links that you suggested relating to my issue.

I still have an issue.

I don't have a goldencheetah.inin file on my system. For whatever reason it has not been reated or installed, or being written to by my installation of GC v3.7 sp1.

I don't have a goldencheetah.org folder in my appdat/roaming folder.

Consequently, the application defaults to teh appdata/local/golden cheetah directory to find my athletes and cannot change from this.

Please advise to my steps forwards that would resolve the situation?

Best regards,

Guy

IMHO there is a deeper issue about being a user of a FOSS project you don't understand, and you have exhausted my patience, so I hope others can help you, I am done.

Good afternoon Ale and others,

I did not mean to upset you. I'm sorry that you don't have the patience to deal with apparently simple issues.

I realise that this is a contribution project.  Sadly I don't have the time right now to become fully acquainted with the complexities of GC.

I thought that you might care about the user experience and the performance of your application.

Afterall, if I were a new user, experiencing the same issue, would you treat me in the same way.

I know that this is not a commercial  application, however, it is common courtesy to help a user as best you can.  If you do not feel that you can do this, then perhaps you should leave all user relations to others.

I look forward to hearing what others can advise.

Best regards,

Guy
