Hi Jaswanth,
you can install multiple Git for Windows versions via the PortableGit
installer. This will not integrate into the Start Menu, but you will have
to either adjust your `PATH` to add the `cmd` folder of the version you
want to use, or you need to start the `git-bash.exe` in the corresponding
installation directory.
It is not possible to install multiple versions of Git for Windows
side-by-side via the official installer.
However, I am confused as to what tools might be compatible only with
older Git versions, and won't allow you to simply upgrade to the latest
(and safest) version. Care to elaborate?
