Hi all

I think an 11am start would be good. Much easier to get cheaper tickets and who wants to get up early on a Sat?!

I also would like to confirm I will be there. perhaps if others did we could have a good idea of numbers. I would hate to think of Joce landed with the cost of the hire. But maybe someone thought of this already.

best wishes, Mel

Hello all,

Thanks, Joyce! Excellent. I can confirm there are a few people coming
together from Lincoln - I will try to get concrete commitals.

Do we have a Facebook event page yet! We also need an announcement on
the 'announcements' section of the Free University forum (http://
forum.freeuniversity.org.uk/). I can put one up if others are fine for
me to do so. I'm not sure how to create a Facebook events page, so if
anyone already knows please let us know.

There is now a Birmingham Free University meeting on 1 February
(https://www.facebook.com/groups/196850767064492/#!/events/
254691321262564/) - I have written to invite them as well, though I
suspect Joyce already has.

Best,
Sarah

I think that Joel is the one who might have done a facebook events page
and an announcement on the free university forum which I leave to those
more expert than I at this point. Thanks for inviting Brum free university
which I hadn't done.

Re: times of 25 February, can we confirm 11 am to 4:30 pm or is that
pushing the length of the day at the later end? I can then confirm to the
venue that we will have it from 10:30 to 5:30 in case we want to go on for
another half hour, which then gives us half an hour to tidy it up.

I have not paid anything yet but will do so once this is confirmed. I'm
happy to pay for the event beforehand and be reimbursed on the day by the
waged.

Dear all,

I have only recently been added to this list by Joel, and I am planning to
come on 25th Feb - 11am start sounds good to me, I will try and stay w a
friend in B'ham the night before as early mornings are not good for me
because of my health.

I wanted to ask about the agenda for the day, as someone mentioned it very
briefly, as if a draft had been circulated before I joined, and I would like
to have some input into it if possible, so could it be recirculated?. I am a
memeber of the management group of the Feminist Library, and we have been
having some very general talks about trying to develop courses outside
academic institutions.

Best wishes, Gail

Hi all,

Yes, agreed on 11am start. 4.30 sounds like a good time to aim for a
conclusion too.

The Facebook event page is here...
http://www.facebook.com/events/331968896815769/

Now 30 say they're going, although that's always questionable on
Facebook. I will, from time to time, ask people to only state they're
coming if they genuinely plan to come.

Gail, I'm sure the discussion on our agenda will get going again soon
enough. Sarah made the important suggestion that we all get up to
speed with the meeting notes from the Bank of Ideas' Free Uni
meetings. I think you can find all the info here...
http://forum.freeuniversity.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?fid=1

Also, she suggested familiarising ourselves with the docs on the
Social Science Centre, Lincoln. Check out their website
(socialsciencecentre.org.uk). There was one other thing she suggested
but I still can't remember what it was. Sarah, can you help?

Thanks
Joel
