  Hey folks,

Anyone have a suggestion for a good place to get torch supplies?  We have a good welding supply shop here, but they don't have all that much for brazing applications, and I'm dubious what their day to day staff know about what I'd like to get.  That said whoever they use to service torches and regulators did a great job with my existing stuff that was long overdue for the once over.
Specifically I'm looking for kevlar hoses, and fittings and flashback arrestors for a Linde W-200 torch.  Along with maybe tips for the Linde and a Victor j-28.

Cheers!

My LWS is pretty useless.  Back when I got gases from them, I'd shop in the store and find a few sundries but little to none of the equipment we need for our lightweight aircraft torches.  They have the heavy red/green hoses suitable for a cutting torch at a shipyard, nothing lighter.

I gave up on them when they sold me the wrong thing, then wouldn't let me return it a few days later, still shrink-wrapped.  So glad I switched to propane and an oxygen concentrator so I never have to go there anymore.

Much as I like to support brick'n'mortar stores, I'd look to web businesses for that stuff you're asking about. They are usually more accommodating of returns too, at least compared to my LWS.

Dunno which websites to send you to, maybe someone else here will have suggestions. Me, I'm a bottom-feeder due to poverty/stinginess, so I take my chances on ebay, used or "open box" discounted.

Owen, the cost of welding equipment us framebuilders use has risen significantly.  I keep a list of online welding equipment suppliers for my students.  This company near you has been one of my favorites with competitive pricing compared to other suppliers.  https://weldingsupply.com  One reason I like them is because they keep Victor Equipment in stock while other supplies drop ship orders to them from from Victor adding time from order to delivery.

Cyberweld stock Victor torches, not cheap but you can still buy a J-28 Which is my favorite handle.
