Hello!

As affiliate group leaders, and on behalf of NPCA President Glenn Blumhorst and our entire NPCA team, we want to thank you for signing onto this year's Peace Corps funding letter to the President for the fiscal year that will begin a year from now. As the Biden administration is working on this budget now, your letter represents our first outreach to the White House in this annual federal budget process.

A short while ago, we forwarded the attached letter to White House officials, signed by 131 NPCA affiliate groups, representing more than 87,000 people (both new records!)

A note that in several instances, more than one group leader submitted to sign the letter. For the purposes of consistency, we chose one of the individuals on behalf of the group, and made the choice based on either the first person to respond or seniority in leadership. Thank you for understanding.

INVITE YOUR MEMBERS TO SEND INDIVIDUAL MESSAGES TO THE PRESIDENT:

You are welcome to share the attached letter with your members.  And, you can also encourage them to send individual messages to President Biden urging strong Peace Corps funding in his Fiscal Year 2023 budget, which he will submit to Congress next February. Here is the link where they can write to the president:

PLEASE STAY ENGAGED

The next fourteen months will continue to be critical in our advocacy efforts, as the Peace Corps is expected to begin redeploying volunteers, and as we fight uphill to move the improvements and reforms outlined in the Peace Corps Reauthorization Act (H.R. 3456) from consideration to actual passage. We will need to have our entire Peace Corps community engaged if we are to secure passage.

Thank you so much for your leadership!  We look forward to working with you!!
