ELAN to FLEx import failed after FLEx update

Hello,

I've been using the typical ELAN to FLEx import for almost a decade, and this is the first time I'm seeing the following message:

I can confirm that it is the right format, as I haven't changed my procedure of exporting from ELAN and importing into FLEx. I also haven't changed anything in the setting, but I recently updated FLEx to version 9.3.8. Maybe the error above has anything to do with it.

Strangely, I also cannot import any other (older) .flextext files that had never caused any trouble.

I found a thread from 2020 here, explaining that renaming the top-level tier to "(something)-segnum-en" should do the trick. I tried it, and it didn't work. I still get the same error message.

This is something about the flextext file or the project being imported into. Be sure that all the writing systems in the flextext file are also in the FieldWorks project. Until the error messages can be improved to be useful, this should be sent to flex_...@sil.org along with the flextext file and a backup of the file you’re trying to import into.  Is the project you’re importing into empty?

Thanks for your reply. I just saw that my image of the error displayed in FLEx wasn't transmitted when I posted my request here. I'm attaching a screenshot of it again.

I have also sent you an email. If you find a solution, could you please post it here as well?
