Working under scripts tab hangs the browser sometimes!

Hi There,

Firebug is being so amazing. but recently after update of FF30 it became bit lagging.
As with latest Firefox 30.0, it is very difficult work with Firebug 2.0. It is very slow (sometimes hangs the browser) while working in Scripts Tab for Debugging & Search.

Please suggest any necessary actions to make it faster as it was earlier.

I am seeing exactly the same. Firebug 1.x was working OK on v30, but v2 is horribly slow and drives memory consumption to 500meg.

That's progress for you. Stuff features in, don't care if they work or not.

And issue 7560 was created to improve the speed of switching between scripts.

That's progress for you. Stuff features in, don't care if they work or not. 

For Firebug 2.0 we had an open beta phase of several months and provide alpha releases almost every week (just follow blog.getfirebug.com), but unfortunately we didn't get any feedback about performance problems before the final release.
Constructive critique is always welcome. So if you want to help to avoid such problems in the future, please try out our alpha and beta releases and let us know when you see any problems.
