Hi guys,

I am experiencing rapid slowdown in the performance, particularly in speed of searching (js, css, ...). Browser freezes sometime.

Thanks anyway for your great job!!!

I can confirm this.

Switching to debugging tab may take up to a second. Syntax highlighting seems to be extremely slow.

Firebug has become extremely laggy, totally unusable.

Thanks.

Issue 7560 was created to improve the performance regarding the script display.

Firebug has become extremely laggy, totally unusable.
Does this statement only relate to the Script panel or also other parts of Firebug?

Could you please create an issue for that and provide a simple test case for it?

At least for me the major issue is with the Script panel. The breakpoints take forever to enable and dissable (I've actually waited for 10min today) the continue doesn't work and even when FireBug shows that the breakpoint is removed it still sometimes breaks on that point. In general it is so unusable that I might need to change browsers... Can't even believe I am thinking of such blasphemy.

Yes, just the Script panel. As a result I am forced to use Chrome for debugging.

Hope you fix it.

Thanks!

I do not experience such problems.

Performance is like before with 1.2x.

This problem should be fixed with Firebug 2.0.2. See issue 7561 for more info. Please let us know if it works for you.

That's probably related to the issue above. So again, please let us know whether that still happens with 2.0.2.

I am sorry for the late reply did not have a chance to check it earlier, 2.0.2 seames to have resolved all of the issues, at least for me. Cheers!

Hi,
I have Firefox 34.0.5 and Firebug 2.0.7 and it is extremely slow when loading files and searching. Can I somehow disable syntax highlighting for JS files?

Firebug 2.0.7 introduced the preference extensions.firebug.enableSyntaxHighlighting to allow to turn the syntax highlighting off.
