asses fines for late returns

IS there a way to asses fines for late returns and track the fines and payment within FACIL?

Hi, Scott.

 

You can easily do that in Facil. 

 

In the Admin Menu, under Main Reference Lists, find the Trans(action) Categories and Items.  Create a Category for “Fines’  Create Items for each kind of fine you want, with either fixed prices or 0 for variable amounts.

 

Now use the Payment System to collect payments for these fines.

 

You’ll be able to view and report the Fines using the Transaction Viewer on the Admin Menu and the various Financial Reports.  You can quickly see what Fines if any a Person paid by using the Activity tab on the Person form or with the Transaction Viewer.

 

The Help topics “Payments” and “Transaction Viewer” have more related information.
