Hello all,

I use Traxxas 74054-4, which generally has the same specs as the recommended model 74054-6
Without connecting the printed PCB, LiDAR and GPU amount board, I cannot solve the following issue even with the original RC model:

When I just connect the recommended battery Traxxas Lipo 3s 5000MPH 11.1v and press the ez-set button, the LED on ESC XL-5 is blinking alternatively red then green. I can use the transmitter to steer the wheels but cannot trigger the motor in the original RC model.
No matter how I press the ez-set button, eventually the LED only blinks red then green alternatively.
I can change the drive profiles but it does not help.

As stated in this pageBlinks Red then Green means that the speed control has entered Over Voltage protection.
XL-5 spec says that
Input voltage:4-7 Cells (4.8 to 8.4 Volts DC)
However, I thought the recommended battery is feasible to use directly.
Does anyone here have the same experiences? Or after I connect everything completely, it hopefully works...?

I hope I provide all the essential information here :)

The answer is in the question you posted

If you are planning on attending the race in early October in Italy, we suggest that you use the FOCBOX VESC-X instead of the stock ESC
