Hi Guys

I have 2 new question here. It's about the logitech-f710. I have a tx2 with the lastest jetson version.
1.
I have already install the f710 driver following the instruction here: https://github.com/jetsonhacks/logitech-f710-module
However, I can't build-module and it says You will need to install the kernel source before proceeding. Is this step necessary or how I can solve this?
This step is not mentioned on the website.
I have passed the jstest however and I can see the change when I push the buttons on the pad.

2.
I'm using the LX30 and I have tested it under Windows
I have found hokuyo vesc. However, I can't find the joypad-f710 but just js0.
when I launch the Lidar test, it says
[ERROR] [1644138422.602167853]: Couldn't open joystick /dev/input/joypad-f710. Will retry every second.
and the Lidar status is Status: Error

i think this is because of the kernel issue in my first question.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

best,
Yunbo

Hello,
I have not used this gamepad, but I assume that for the first issue you have to install kernel headers. However, if you are able to detect the buttons, it might not be necessary! (As I would use this only if the device is not working properly.)

To use it with the f1/10 system, you just have to change the fd (file descriptor) of the device. Edit the config file inside `f1tenth_system/f1tenth_stack/config/joy_teleop.yaml` and change `/dev/input/joypad-f710` to detected `/dev/input/js0`.

Best,
J.

Heh, sorry I switched branches.
The correct location of the config file is ` f1tenth_system/racecar/racecar/config/racecar-v2/joy_teleop.yaml`.

hello, you may need to manually install the debian joystick package manually first (sudo apt-get install joystick). Then you can follow the steps on the site to have it work.
Assuming this is not yet solved.

Hi guys,

I have solved this problem. It's the hardware problem.

Thanks so much for the help.

Best,
Yunbo
