Great circuit, great race, possibly even the best this season. Lewis back to his best, that really was a brilliant drive, Jenson gung-ho too, good stuff. As for Ferrari, ruthless as ever, once more using their second driver as a patsy. Massa deserved better. But it paid off with Alonso finishing third and taking the DWC down to the wire in Brazil where the weather forecast is mixed. If Alonso wins this championship, I wonder how many will shout foul and turn it into a hollow victory. For me, he'll still have deserved it, more so than Vettel, who, despite doing his job in driving the fastest car on the grid as fast as it can go, still hasn't proved to me that he can take a mid field car and turn it into a consistent winner. Alonso has.

Watched this after listening to the live broadcast (travelling during the race) and was pleasantly surprised at how good this track is. After the half-arsed attempt that was Indy, CotA seems to have got it almost spot on. It seemed like a transformed driver list, lots of dicing, close racing, some fabulous wheel to wheel stuff and very little stupidity (I thiink DC was right about Grosjean, he needs to be calmed down and given some mind-therapy).

I'm prejudiced so the Alonso-Massa-Gearbox thing looked worse to me than it probably was. Objectively it's a cynical and deplorable ploy. Subjectively it had to be done and was clever, even if it meant Alonso's partner bending over, again and taking it. At least they had the good grace to not lie about it. Personally I think it stinks and makes F1 look bad, but worse has happened so...... Actually, what was worse to me was Sebs bitch-whining about back markers and a stupid overtake. Every week I think he's becomoing more likeable and mature, and then he does this!!! Try not calling people cucumbers and be nice to them, then they might move over for you. Hamilton called back markers Monkeys at the back and got pilloried for it. At least Monkeys are intelligent, comparing a driver to a vegetable that is, at best, ferts in a green skin is not gonna win you any prizes.

So, to Brazil. If it's fine and he poles it and there's no weather he'll do it. Whether it's in 1st or otherwise depends on McLaren. Specifically on Lewis' desire to go out with a win, which I'm sure he'll aim for. Outside of that we'll see, maybe we'll get another 2008 level finish but this time with Fred taking the accolade.

Overall a 10/10 weekend with only one dark cloud. Did I hear someone say that Rubinho is lookiing to come back to F1?

Pretty much agree with you TJ. But with regard to Barrichello, I'd have preferred him in the Williams rather than Maldonado, not simply because he's an unpredictable thug but because the Williams is undoubtedly a good car this season and I think Rubens would have done a better job overall. He wouldn't have thrown so many points away through recklessness and quite possibly matched Maldonados win at least once

Quite agree Cap, I think his more measured approach would have been much better than Pastor. It's painful to see a car that is competitive being driven the way it is. Any bets on where Bruno will be next year? Does he have any more years in the williams cockpit? I'm minddful of Ayrtonsr utterance 'if you think I'm fast, wait until you see my nephew'. I'm fairly sure his F1 career will be short.

Unless another team snaps him up I think Bottas will replace Bruno next year so I don't see where else he could go. Apparently Kovalainens or Petrovs seats aren't secure as yet so he might have a chance there, otherwise it's not looking very promising for him.

It pains me to see Williams going through this pay driver mess. They have a decent car and a better driver coulod really do something with it. Looking at what Kimi has done with the Lotus this year must make Frank feel awful.

I agree TJ, Williams have always been a favourite of mine. I guess had they known they had a competitive car this season they may have decided on retaining Rubens as a proven winner which in turn would have brought their sponsors much more TV exposure than they'd had for years and possibly added a few more. Instead they went for big bucks via a driver. And landed themselves with Maldonado. Hindsight with the benefit of - as Yoda might have put it {:0)
