Summer isn't a description I'd use for the last few months Tom but thanks
anyway {:0). I can think of many a word beginning with "p" though to describe
Hamiltons attitude! He really does appear to be above himself these days, what
with tweeting McLarens details so that all and sundry can read them and having
his TV conscious bird pulling appropriate faces as soon as she sees she's on the
screen! They deserve each other, she's as much up herself as Lewis is right now.
As for the race, what a corker! Despite what might have been with Alonso,
Hamilton, Grosjean and Perez all crashed out we still had a battle royal going
on with Vettel, Kimi and at times Schumacher. It certainly was Sebs best
performance for a long time and he does deserve his 2nd place in the standings.
Great to see Jenson back on it. He really is virtually unbeatable once he has
the car under him and it would have been good had Hamilton elected to match his
set up - I think we would have been in for a treat to see them going head to
head again. Perhaps Monza will give us that spectacle.
Hopefully a race ban will bring Grosjean to his senses - it's all there he
just needs to calm it down a bit and remember Prost always use to say you can't
win the race at the first corner. But the same can't be said for "The Thug". No
matter what the FIA throw at him, Maldonado will never learn. And that's
dangerous!!!

Hope
everyone (or two) had a good summer. Have to say that was one hell of a
race weekend to get us back in to the season. Jenson was peerless on
Saturday and Sunday and Lewis was something else beginning with a 'p' all
weekend. Does anyone else think that he might benefit from taking a year
off in 2013?
The race was of course diminished by Grosjean's ludicrous move on Lewis
(but why does the No 4 McLaren have an idiot magnet in it?) and as everyone
saw we were very lucky not to have a serious injury to Fernando. Agree
with the one race ban but think Maldonado should have had the same, simply
because he is a bloody lunatic. After the dust settles and Jenson
stretched his legs it looked for a while as if we would have a delightful
little dice between Kimi and Michael, but neither had the car beneath them.
Nice move on Michael at eau Rouge by Kimi. Seb drove one of the
best races of his career, Mark was not quite on it and Hulkenberg showed what
a talent he really is, although it was a pity Paul had KERS issues because he
too could have been right up with his team mate. Good to see Vergne and
Ricciardo in close competition, perhaps it means that Vergne might almost be
as good as he thinks he is, but the cars do now seem a lot better than at the
beginning of the season. Massa drove a solid race, perhaps showing us
that Fernando might have been on the podium, but at least the championship is
a little bit more open now. Really looking forward to Monza.
