People should do more than just write editorials then bleat and tweet about them.

They should start consensus building petitions and get the entire US populace to sign on board.

So petitions are more powerful than editorials? Well maybe. But it's hard to see how the scientific method loving people and the Trump loving MAGA people can ever form a consensus on anything of consequence.

The way I emagine it is one side, or the other, of the petition, goes viral, and collects gazillions of supporters.  This gets reported in the news and the other side (MAGA?) not wanting to be left out recruits a comparable number of supporters.

Once you get people involved and communicate in this powerful way about what everyone truly wants, it is then easy to focus on what people agree on (in a super camp) and there are lots of ways to convert people from one side or the other.  And the best part is if you can track what converts, and what doesn't, you can focus on that....
