Detailed mouse brain map created with off-the-shelf microscope

In Wednesday's issue of the journal Nature researchers report on using a new technique that enabled them to make a detailed model of mouse brain tissue just by using a cheap light microscope, an electron microscope was not required. And they were able to distinguish between different types of synapses by their protein makeup.
