In Rand Paul's televised fight with Dr. Fauci the fight was a huge mismatch and Senator Paul embarrassed himself by demonstrating to the world that he was simply out of his depth. The fight was about infectious diseases and Rand Paul's second job is an eye doctor and not a particularly noteworthy one at that, but Dr. Fauci is one of the world's greatest experts on infectious diseases and epidemics and he has been studying viruses for 50 years. It was like a high school biology teacher fighting with Einstein about physics. Senator Paul is such an ignoramus regarding infectious diseases that even after he tested positive for COVID-19 he refused to wear a mask and insisted on working out and sweating profusely in the Senate gym, something that made him personally unpopular with other senators, it caused even his fellow fascist Republicans to intensely dislike the man. And now YouTube says he's too big a crackpot even for them.

He's a physician which makes him more knowledgeable than you or I. Does his info make him more knowledgeable than Fauci? My question is do I trust Fauci as a voice of scientific reason? For me, naw! He basically seems to be buds with the genocidal Xi regime. Gain of function was not Fauci' s goal, but it was for the PLA who were the recipient of cashola from Fauci. 

On Paul he knows medicine and politics and so does The Fauch. I am wearing a mask tonight at work, and have had my Pfizer(s). Popularity with attorneys/politicians who are paid off by woke billionaires (follow the money) does not sway me. None of these are for the US middle class because of Xi-money going to China-trading, Woke Corporations. $$$. I do wonder what the 19th century Engels + Marx would have said about all this? Right now the progressives (Xi-kissing socialists) are good with things as they now are. For example, the US worker produces less and less today and it is not Robots replacing them, but China-trading corporations.

Masks were good at the regular flu strains, I recall reading, but were so-so on the Covid.

John I really don't think that there was any expectation about a revolution, etc. There's no plan and no generals revealed for a (Rod Serling's) Seven Days in May, scenario. Nothing, zip, zilch. After Trump lost the election and after Trump pardoned him for treason three star Lieutenant General Michael Flynn committed more treason by telling everyone he saw that Trump should just declare the election invalid and then use martial law to enforce his degree. Well, I always saw The Don as a rich guy with a loud mouth, good business insights, and political experience. I was more pleased by his actual behavior than what I expected which was, jack. That Donald was somehow a dumber version of hitler who magically attained office, is the narrative of the DNC and its affiliated members. Dumber, but less effective than Adolf, and somehow came to power? Illogical, inconsistent, but this is what the Team holds as it's ideology. (An ideology defined as a faith movement, gods-optional). That obsession with the Orange fellow is the magical thinking that obsesses the democrat. 

Don't fret about me, because I realize I am but a lowly serf in crowd. If Team dem was more intelligent, and I suspect that even intelligence and mathematical skills get eclipsed by ideological passion (The amygdala beats the cerebrum like a royal flush beats 3 aces), and focus on what befalls the world. The democrat voter will not, because like an alcoholic they must reach bottom. So what would a rational person (perhaps hooked more into physical survival) look for? The reaching bottom comment?

1. The economy. (covers everything). 

2. The plague.

3. The open border.

4. Street crimes, precisely violent ones. 

5. International destabilization (witness Afghanistan, China, Putin, Iran) and other Black Swans I am missing for the nonce. 

6. Yeah, Climate change.

7. Riots, yours, mine, ours.

8. A non-Responsive ruling class<===   These people today are close to the rulers of 1913, the the fighters of WW2 and the Bretton Woods conference. 

If we were actually smart, instead of merely, partisan, which I often am, because I enjoy responding to the provocations here, we'd be looking for fixes  or ameliorations to the listed troubles above.  But, yeah, this is much more fun!
