I'd prefer it was the US but I'm glad at least somebody is building a liquid thorium reactor. Trump is single-handedly destroying not only the US economy but also the US higher education system and any relationship it once had with its allies, so now China has no competition. Trump is Making China Great again.

Ok, they have thorium-borium-baparorium-powered nuclear reactor. So what ? They live like rats in 40 stories prisons. What good that reactor does for them ?
