I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that China is good at AI, their education system is excellent, especially in science and mathematics, and they have about four times as many people as the US does, so they must have more people with boiling water (Fahrenheit) IQs than the US does.

For obvious reasons if you're interested in news about current events then an AI that comes straight out of China would be the very last place to look for it. As I mentioned before, Deepseek knows absolutely nothing about the Tiananmen Square massacre and insists Taiwan is part of mainland China, and I'm sure it has many other controversial opinions, but that doesn't change the fact that it represents a major technological improvement. And because it's open source Deepseek can be reeducated.

In the meantime, western AIs say that the founding fathers of America were black. Different places in the world, different types of totalitarian regimes.
