Currently I am working at Austin Community College and the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, where I teach Spanish. The reason I am participating in this group is to network and share different ESL resources. I taught ESL to middle school children for years, and I now teach adults. The transition was not as smooth as I thought it would be. I need materials and good web sites. I'd like to see and hear about any resources you have or have come across to share with my ESL students. I have my own ESL website that I do use with my students. It only covers a small area, so I am always looking for more."

Hi there, My name is Raoni Franco, and I´m doing Master´s Degree at
UFPE (Universidade Federal de Permabuco), a brazilian University
located in Northeast Brazil. My research subject is mobile learning
(mobile enhanced learning), and I´m designing a mobile tool to help
foreign language students. I´m collecting data about vocabulary
lessons in order to better understand vocabulary acquisition and
retention issues, and how teacher and students interact in this
cenario. It will help me to design an useful mobile application for
learning. I would like to participate in your group to apply a survey
about vocabulary acquisition and retention. (Sorry about possible
