Hi, I've been running a perception experiment using E-prime 2.0 on a lenovo Windows 8 laptop with intel CORE i7. For 3 out of the 14 subjects I've runned, the program suddenly stopped working during the experiment, with a message asking "Do you want to abort the experiment? yes/no". If I clicked no, the program didn't respond so I had to click yes and aborted the experiment. It happened twice half way of the experiment and the other time 1/3 of the experiment. I've turned off the internet access while running the experiment. Do anyone know what's going on and how to resolve the problem? Thanks!!

Are you *absolutely* sure that no one pressed the secret
"Ctrl+Alt+Shift" abort combination during the run? That key
combination is designed to produce exactly that result. First, try
this on purpose yourself just to see that you can generate this
message at will. Then you might have to stand over your subjects and
see what keys they actually press. To prevent this, you may have to
find some way to disable those keys (see,
e.g., https://groups.google.com/d/topic/e-prime/b_dtTXuVdfg and
https://groups.google.com/d/topic/e-prime/dlyJfCHnBf0 ).

BTW, you might also double-check PST's statement regarding support
for Windows 8, etc.: http://www.pstnet.com/support/kb.asp?TopicID=4026 .
