Training workshop of various actors on OHADA Uniform on cooperative

Dear friends and colleagues,

Hope you are fine since the last encounter. With the technical accompaniement of the Panafrican Conference of Cooperative (PCC), IDF is organising a training workshop to Contribute to the mastery of the OHADA Uniform Act relating to the Law of Cooperative Societies in view of the judicious application of its provisions for the promotion of cooperatives as credible alternatives to the fight against poverty.
This is an opportunity for us to own the process and content of the registration under OHADA UNIFORM Law so as to be ready whenthe law is enacted to help various CIG and Cooperative transform and adapt their various legaldocuments in accordance to the Uniform Law.. We nead to know the reasons of the delay of the application of the law and the negative impacts cooperatives are facing to joint the lobbying and advocacy activities promoted by LUKMEF in the South West Region.

Dear Coordinator of Vision in Action,
Thank you for your mail. The workshop I am proposing with CPC has nothing doing with what LUCKMEF did. It is a training on how to use OHADA Uniform Law for Cooperative not Lobbying and Advocacy. It is also self sponsored.
It is not sponsored by any founder and is a training not only for NGO but all the actors involved in the chain of registration or using the law for their work like lawyers... The cost is 90000frcs for those living in Bamenda and 120000frcs for those out of Bamenda.
The training of trainers by CPC was 200 000frcs and was very selective. The next training of trainer will take place in Gabon soon and each candidate will pay for transport  and other.

Dear Friends

As Mrs Therese said, this training is not in any way related to what we are doing but it is a very important training for all of us since the OHADA law provisions are already being implemented and applies to almost all formal structures including even NGOs like us.  I take a simple example of what our landlords can choose to do to us if for some reasons we are unable to pay our rents etc. what are our rights and theirs as specified within the OHADA provisions?.

 

That said, I think this training is good when I rethink my long time thoughts that NGOs are more effectives and sustainable as social enterprises than the current use of the word non-profit that makes long term survival so hard and tricky.  What we may be lobbying is to see a reduction in the fee
