Hello,

Hope you're having a great Friday.  How long do you anticipate it will be until organizations are able to access data for new patients as opposed to patients for whom they have billed a claim in the past 18 months?

Best,
Arick Morton

Hi Arick,

Thanks for your question. At this time, we do not have a timeline we can share regarding access to new patients through DPC.

We are in the process of expanding our research and understanding of the patient rostering and attribution processes, with opportunities to engage with our researchers and engineers through research sessions and office hours coming up in the future. We'll keep the Google Group updated as we have new information to share.

Thanks!

Megan

Hi Arick,

Thanks for the follow-up question. We do not have any updates at this time. We are still in the process of conducting research and will keep the Google Group updated with any new information.

Best,
The DPC Team

Echoing this sentiment that new patient onboarding would tremendously benefit from this data, whereas the ongoing relationship - 18 months after first claim - is of nebulous benefit.

Just checking in - has there been any change in this policy?

Hi there,

Thanks for your question.

The 18-month lookback requirement will remain in place for DPC V1 and there are no current plans to change this policy.

However, DPC V2 will allow organizations to request data on a patient as long as the requesting entity attests to a treatment-related purpose as described in HIPAA. This allows users to request data in DPC V2 on new patients beyond the scope of DPC V1. These requests will be logged and audited. DPC reserves the right to revoke this access in the event of misuse.

Please refer to our announcement about the upcoming release of DPC V2 here.

Best,
The DPC Team
