Hilarious. How often I wish I could edit after posting!
Dave, man I gotta tell you, I dig the idea and basic concept of ShowBuddy so much it made me 2nd guess my whole operation for a minute.
He is onto something though. I am in a similar situation where I use Ableton live to run tracks in multitrack mode. If show buddy supported multitrack audio I would've probably already started transporting the 400 songs in our catalog over to show buddy format. I use DMXis as a plug-in through Ableton successfully and I am a loyal advocate and promoter of DMXis. This new product would simplify my life immensely from the perspective of the light programming. I know it has to be insanely frustrating to hear all of us constantly saying what you should change or add to your software. In fact, I hesitate to even mention things like this because you have what is, in my opinion, THE ground-breaking, musician friendly, plug in based lighting program, and it absolutely makes my world a happier place! Thank you.
Now go ahead and add multi-track capability, vst plug in support and an IOS remote app to Show Buddy and sign me up. Provided it would retail under a grand, or under a couple grand with a killer integrated visualizer so my lazy ass doesn't have to set up this stupid rig during the week to program lights - you can hit my CC any time. I may be the only one that feels that way, which makes a pretty limited market, but with 2 bands, I need two copies so there is a start. Anybody else?
Thanks again man, seriously, for a great product and incredible customer service and interaction through this forum.
And 4ndrew, I already want to edit this rambling bullshit post but it's 3am and I'm whipped from load out so if you read all this crap, please accept my sincere apology. :)
