What is the most cost effective 3D visualisation option for use with DMXis.

I don't need anything fancy as my lighting rig is fairly simple.  I see Capture used in all the videos posted by Entec, however the pricing is way out of my budget.

Cheers in advance.

Look at:
I've been playing with the demo version and if your lighting rig is fairly simple, it's probably a great one. I'm having trouble finding the fixtures I would need but otherwise it looks pretty solid. In general the trouble seems to be the wide variety of fixtures and inability to accurately reproduce things like strips, multi head fixtures or anything pixel based. If you have basic rgb par cans and fairly standard moving heads, that software should work beautifully and it's well under 500 bucks with interface and all.   It is PC only though - no Mac version.

I have no hands on idea what I'm talking about since I've never touched the program you just mentioned, but in other programs you can fake strips using RGB cans as pixels, stuff like that. Crude, but it works.

No good unfortunately as I am a mac user.

Does anyone use Capture SmartSoft Edition.  Still a bit pricy for my budget but if I could be 100% confident in it's functionality then I would look at investing.

Hi List

We are aware of the "feature hole" and are working on something, hopefully we will have more news in a few months.

Thanks

time ...
