As you may remember, I sent a cordial request to Ancestry.com to remove our service marks from RootsWeb that was signed for on Apr 1. No response or action was taken.

As a next step, the AB is in favor of sending the attached Cease & Desist letter to Ancestry via certified mail with a return receipt. The attached letter was created using a boilerplate version from a legal site.

We would appreciate your feedback before we take this next step.

Please share with the State lists and send feedback to the Project level lists or to me or any AB member by Aug. 12.
