Conflicting Hypertext Elements That Essentially Share the Same Name:
Multiple links that share the same name but lead to different locations/resources with different content (note- I've seen this same problem in other classes as well)
The Problem
In Assignment 3 the list of learning resources can be accessed in (2) different ways within the same tiddler:
- the link in the text body ("Learning Resources")
- the grey drop down bar (List of Learning Resource (*note: there is a typo here it should be Resources).
The problem is that the two methods do NOT reveal the exact same list. Instead, each of the (2) resource lists has slightly different content. This effects what can and can not do be done with each list.
- The body text link opens a list that includes the zotero link but NOT the check boxes to select resources of interest.
- The drop down includes the checkboxes but NOT the Zotero link.
Potential Solutions
- Give each list a distinct name that indicates its unique capabilities
- Have both links connect to the exact same list
- Make sure both lists are identical
