Dear Friends,

The 9th IAWRT Asian Women's Film Festival
will be held in Delhi from 5-8 March, 2013. The festival celebrates International Women’s Day and over the years has become an important part of the city's calendar drawing large numbers of media students and discerning film enthusiasts.

The 2013 edition of the festival has a focus on films from Iran and South Korea, and a package of outstanding student films from India. 44 films will be shown—3 World premieres, 19 South Asian premieres, and 11 Delhi premieres. The films deal with diverse subjects such as gender, sexuality, parenthood, nationality, migration, urbanization and art—strong and innovative works that are honest journeys of personal and political interrogation. 24 filmmakers will be attending the festival.  The screenings will be held across three venues: India International Centre, Korean Cultural Centre and Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Communications.

We cordially invite you to the inauguration of the festival to be held on 5 March 2013 at 6 pm at the India International Centre following by the Opening film Facing Mirrors (102 min, Iran) directed by Negar Azarbayjani.
