Karen Fake News: Bari Weiss, Spike Lee, and Christian Cooper

Please be aware that Spike Lee has produced an excellent multi-part HBO documentary “NYC Epicenters 9/11-2021½”:

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/23/arts/television/spike-lee-nyc-epicenters.html

The first part began last week and will continue through the next four weeks:

https://www.hbo.com/documentaries/nyc-epicenters-911-2021

The final half hour of the first part deals with the New Racial Consciousness and the outbreak of protests throughout the Pandemic.

And that half hour begins with Christian Cooper:

We have become quite aware of Bari Weiss and her White Snowflake Privilege advocacy, which I addressed in the following post:

https://groups.google.com/g/davidshasha/c/SyCaBbGRk68/m/QzGTz38qEgAJ

Here is the Weiss Substack post vigorously defending the “Central Park Karen” and demonizing Mr. Cooper:

https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/the-real-story-of-the-central-park?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjo2NTQ0OTU3LCJwb3N0X2lkIjozOTUxNzc0MCwiXyI6IndlQk5UIiwiaWF0IjoxNjI4MDA0NDUzLCJleHAiOjE2MjgwMDgwNTMsImlzcyI6InB1Yi0yNjAzNDciLCJzdWIiOiJwb3N0LXJlYWN0aW9uIn0.hfIu4j_kXSzzJiqTI_rjxUzqZjNV1lR5NtRId19dNsg

In Lee’s documentary we get a complete view of the matter, replete with a very clear presentation of Mr. Cooper’s video and his moment-by-moment explanation of the incident – which completely contradicts the Weiss post.

I think that it is critical to see Lee’s very careful presentation of the New Racial Consciousness movement as a response to Weiss and her Rufo Institute allies; all of whom are as sick as Amy Cooper and her deplorable racism.

The Bari Weiss Rufo Institute Exclusion Principle (1): Erasing American History in Texas

We have examined Bari Weiss and her Rufo Institute allies when it comes to the issue of Critical Race Theory, Wokeness, and Cancel Culture:

https://groups.google.com/g/davidshasha/c/K9u8VAR6aoY/m/NPCrvBywBAAJ

https://groups.google.com/g/davidshasha/c/YcYjhF9O_Bs/m/x87K8KFhAwAJ

https://groups.google.com/g/davidshasha/c/mQI0Y88qBZ8/m/1gLBmgqLAQAJ

It is clear that their outrage is quite selective.

The following story has garnered very little national attention:

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/22/politics/texas-senate-bill-critical-race-theory-abbott/index.html

It appears that the Texas State Legislature, very busy trying to restore Jim Crow Voting Rights restrictions, is also hard at work removing Frederick Douglass and various other Confederacy irritants from their precious school curricula:

The new legislation proposed by Senate Republicans strikes entire sections of the House bill. It removes references to the teaching of a series of historical primary documents written by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King Jr., among others.

Leave out the KKK and Slavery as well!

Discussion of the "civic accomplishments of marginalized populations" have also been struck from the bill, including teaching on the history of White supremacy, the institution of slavery and "the Ku Klux Klan, and the ways it is morally wrong."

For those who might have missed it, I posted an article on the history of textbooks in the Confederacy that proves how Cancel Culture was the province of the Right before the Left ever heard about it:

https://groups.google.com/g/davidshasha/c/nlR6d5Xv6Ic/m/dJtmugU7BgAJ

Indeed, as Weiss and The Rufo Institute whine on like White Snowflakes about Critical Race Theory and Free Speech, they are proving to us that they only care about certain types of speech and certain types of exclusion.

If it is the Trump Fascists doing it, it is okay!

The Bari Weiss Rufo Institute Exclusion Priniple (2): What is Cancel Culture When it Comes to Jeopardy?

We have recently been hearing a lot about the problems facing the popular TV game show Jeopardy:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/mike-richards-out-as-jeopardy-host-amid-backlash-over-remarks-on-jews-others/

There has been a move to Cancel new host Mike Richards for his repugnant comments on Jews and other vulnerable groups:

https://deadline.com/2021/08/jeopardy-mike-richards-adl-calls-for-investigation-over-podcast-comments-1234818502/

Parallel to this Cancel movement has been the attacks on HASBARAH macher Mayim Bialik:

https://bestlifeonline.com/mayim-bialik-jeopardy-controversy-news/

https://www.foxnews.com/media/daily-beast-calls-israeli-soldiers-genocidal-jeopardy-hit-piece

I knew that she was HASBARAH, I did not know that she had vaccination issues, and had said unfortunate things about women and Harvey Weinstein:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/how-nyt-editor-bari-weiss-found-herself-at-the-center-of-the-metoo-debate/

I will leave the Cancel warriors to have at it, but the one thing that struck me was that Weiss and her cabal have been silent on Richards’ firing.

I suppose not all Cancel Culture is bad.

When things offensive to Jews are being said, that is an exception to the rule.

When Jews say offensive things about others, especially Blacks, that is apparently acceptable!

Bari Weiss Goes Back to Primal Neo-Con Mode on Afghanistan

I have to admit that my rare praise for Weiss was perhaps premature:

https://groups.google.com/g/Davidshasha/c/c0Xv7MF1ziw

For those who might have missed them, here are those posts:

https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/we-once-waltzed-in-kabul?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjo2NTQ0OTU3LCJwb3N0X2lkIjo0MDA1MDA5MiwiXyI6IndlQk5UIiwiaWF0IjoxNjI5MTMwMzY3LCJleHAiOjE2MjkxMzM5NjcsImlzcyI6InB1Yi0yNjAzNDciLCJzdWIiOiJwb3N0LXJlYWN0aW9uIn0.HXWEen1NNOD7RpmDVnJ_5K00xwm9I6dSyECimlRLyoY

https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/why-we-failed-the-american-exit-from?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjo2NTQ0OTU3LCJwb3N0X2lkIjo0MDA2MDEzMSwiXyI6IndlQk5UIiwiaWF0IjoxNjI5MTMwNjU5LCJleHAiOjE2MjkxMzQyNTksImlzcyI6InB1Yi0yNjAzNDciLCJzdWIiOiJwb3N0LXJlYWN0aW9uIn0.VwnzDGD7buIhO0y870uRUXOYkmcHYBSbzOdQ3T1Y4OE

This week she got back on the Tikvah SAPIR bandwagon:

https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/after-the-fall?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjo2NTQ0OTU3LCJwb3N0X2lkIjo0MDM0MjA5MiwiXyI6IndlQk5UIiwiaWF0IjoxNjI5NzUxMzMyLCJleHAiOjE2Mjk3NTQ5MzIsImlzcyI6InB1Yi0yNjAzNDciLCJzdWIiOiJwb3N0LXJlYWN0aW9uIn0.-DJ3M3mCyUiCIy1cQKDQ9ukUvjyp0ysUDxdJYLSWMXg

The article from Peter Savodnik hits the usual Weiss notes against government and Big Tech, without mentioning Bush and Trump:

It wasn’t just our presidents. It was that the whole machinery of American government seemed less capable of doing big things: mopping up New Orleans; quashing the subprime meltdown; making sure Big Pharma didn’t kill us with painkillers.

The fastest-growing technology companies didn’t create so much as connect. They connected us with friends and drivers and places to eat and to stay. Uber was great, but no one was pitching apps to tackle joblessness, cancer, alienation.

It is more PILPUL obfuscation that does not point the finger at those who are actually responsible – indeed, at Tikvah SAPIR and the Neo-Con Chickenhawks:

https://www.cfr.org/blog/afghanistan-and-abraham-accords-0

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/15/opinion/afghanistan-taliban-biden.html?action=click&module=Opinion&pgtype=Homepage

More than this is the list of articles Weiss presents at the end of the post:

We Are No Longer a Serious People by Antonio García Martínez

The Ides of August by Sarah Chayes

Farewell to Bourgeois Kings by Malcolm Kyeyune

Assabiya Wins Every Time by Lee Smith

The Week the Left Stopped Caring About Human Rights by Caitlin Flanagan

Biden’s Most Heartless Betrayal by Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Requiem for the ‘Stan by Samuel Finlay

Will Biden Invite Afghanistan to His Democracy Summit? by Eli Lake

There is still a mix of viewpoints here, but now the Neo-Con extremism of Lee Smith, Caitlin Flanagan, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Eli Lake is far more prominent; as if she received a Tikvah memo after her initial response.
