Oh nutz. So sorry to hear about Bob Hempel. Prayers to the family. Also sorry to miss the meeting. Life has had ups and downs since we learned Guy has kidney cancer about a month ago. He was in the hospital for two weeks and is home now, 20 lbs lighter and is going to have 4 immunotherapy treatments that are 3 weeks apart before they remove the kidney. He has 3 tiny spots on his lungs that they want to rule out any cancer there before any surgery so he's on Eliquis. What with doctors, nurses, therapy, etc., we've been knocked for a loop schedule wise. Guy stopped teaching but is going to go back next week to a reduced load of students. He needs a hip replacement on top of it all but can't do that until the cancer thing is out of the way. So he's on a cane, and sometimes a walker. He had 1,000 mg iron infusion last week because he was so weak. Seems a bit better now and things are leveling out a bit. My time has not been my own as I have more to do now. But hope to see you all at the next meeting.

I propose to make
not relentless pain,
