It's been a while since I've done anything on a mac drive and I do so few so I'm not sure what this indicates.  Should I try a different recovery software?  Any suggestions?  Should I switch to my Mac and try recovery from it?

Thanks, Dean

I do mostly Mac drives and I've never really used a mac. I use Windows mostly, and some Linux. Mac Drive by mediafour is amazing http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive  also R-studio works really well.

I've personally only had bad experiences with HFSExplorer.. And been
nothing but super impressed with Mac Drive.. I rarely do mac drives,
but it did so amazingly well that I had no problems paying for the
license after the fully working trial expired..

Thanks to both of you for the suggestion.  MacDrive has given me access to the drive.
