The instruction manual on how to repair firmware is so vague with this
item. There is no info out there for a good general way of how to use it.
Sure you get a manual but that thing only deals with a few drive issues and
thats it. I guess something is better than nothing. I did contact the
company once and they told me the drive I needed info on was not supported.
I dont know if they are good or not if they do support the drive you are
working on. Ill bet you if Scott was to teach this it would be another week
just on this subject. The only thing I can think that this is good for is
that I cant afford 15K on a PC3000 and this device can do repairs that saves
me from having to buy one of those. If my drive is ever supported I plan on
trying to use their tech support and see if it is any good. It only supports
3 drives now though. If you know how to use it (I dont as well as I would
like). This might be a good purchase.
