Hello ?name?

I am here in Florida. The is no certification required, but you should definitely work under the supervision of an experienced person as you work your way into the Forensic field. I am an individual not a company, so I do not offer apprenticeship/first-year training, but if you tell me what city you are in, I could possibly introduce you to people in the business.

Dave

Hi, Luis.  I am a law enforcement forensic examiner in Gainesville, FL with the Alachua S.O. and FBI cybercrime task force.

Another suggestion is to look into internships in computer forensics with your local law enforcement agencies. I have had two interns at the Sheriff's Office.  It is basically a few months of hands on exposure in exchange for help with projects.  Your exposure will be just observing/ learning about the forensics due to the nature of the evidence and chain of custody.  But, it is a good starting exposure to the field.

Just FYI, both of my interns decided to pursue other areas.  One data recovery and the other a totally different field.  They didn't expect how in depth and time consuming computer forensics could be...   Not trying to deter you, just wanted to present a full disclosure.

There is a lot to study and learn.  But if you enjoy really digging into the data and OS it can be very rewarding.
