Problem in installation of EFA to CFA Amos Plugin

Dear All,

I have some problem in installation of EFA to CFA Amos Plugin,

After following all steps when opening Amos 18, a popup box is showing message "Translate: Should never occur. An object with an IPlugin interface was expected."
After clicking "OK".
Next message was "Translate : Could not create instance of plugin PatternMatrixBuilder. PatternMatrixBuilder".

Please suggest how to resolve the problem.

Moreover this make the diagram from Pattern Matrix (an output given when EFA is run by PAF method NOT the PCA) not from the Rotated Factor Loading table (as given by PCA method)

Thanks for your support.

If using PCA in factor analysis and got rotated component matrix with all satisfactory conditions as you taught (regarding KMO, communalities, loading values and etc.).  which type of criteria I should keep in mind before going for SEM and Is there any option to make diagram directly in AMOS from output tables of factor analysis.

Dear Vaibhav

The EFA and CFA are two totally distinct things.
We apply EFA when there is no literature support and CFA to check the existing model. I dnt know how this misconception started in India to apply first EFA then CFA on same dataset.

The purpose of EFA is to take correlated statements & make factors from them.

The purpose of CFA is to check whether the factors (considered from ROL) got validity & reliability?

The purpose of SEM is to see the relationship between various var measured on interval data.
