Dear Sajeeb

There are n no. of issues related to Likert scale.

Most of the scholars believe that the statements shd be asked on 5/7/9/11 point so that the respondent can see the neutral and thus rate the statements.

At the same time, another school believes that we shd not give the neutral option as respondents wish to play safe and reply on neutral, while we wish to get their opinion on any side. So this school believes that the Likert scale shd be even (No neutral value)

In SEM, this is rarely a concern. It is equally applicable to odd & even scales likert scales.

Best wishes
Neeraj

Dear Sajeeb
I think there is some confusion on ur end regarding 2nd order CFA.
Plz watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBQPqj63Y7s

In al my workshops on SEM I say again & again that entire SEm is all about:
circle, rectangle, one sided arrow and 2 sided arrow.
Plz note in which directions ur arrows are.

Best wishes
Neeraj

Dear Sajeeb

I think m asking for the 3rd or 4th time, whether you've taken OBE on separate statements in ur questionnaire or you intend t calculate them from other constructs?

Perhaps we shd carry out this discussion on my personal mail as whatever we write here goes to 1000+ people, who may not be interested in this discussion.

Best wishes
Neeraj

In that case you'll not use 2nd order CFA
