Hi Enrico! Can you share with us the gcode to check if there is any strange commands in it? Which software did you use to generate the gcode?

I know is not the answer to your question.
But I moved from using bCNC to Candle CNC tool, as I often had odd behavior with bCNC.

It has all that I require and was using in bCNC including the auto-level and honestly the UI is far far better to use.

Hi Enrico, I'd suggest reducing arc resolution in flatcam to avoid flooding the controller with tiny motions. Check out the screenshot where even a square has "rounded" corners that are not necessary.

However it's better that you first try the other software that Nando suggested, to see if it handles the gcode better.

Cheers,
Carlos

I try to manually delete some line from the gcode but it freezes again... i think it would be a usb communication problem...

Ahh that's right! I remember a while ago having problems due to a bad usb cable. Can you try with a different cable? (maybe a shorter cable with no additional extension cords or hubs)

Does it give any error?
I had issues before with the Z endstop. The wire was passing close to the spindle and the noise would trigger it during work setting the end limits alarm on and stopping.

The Cyclone is a diy CNC, but works ok for what it is.
I use a arduino shield so I can't help you much in regard to the settings as you use a ramps.

Make sure you set the 0 first. I haven't used bCNC in a while but it has a the zero Z axis, in Candle it probes
and stop at 0 and then you set the machine coordinates for that axis as 0.

Hej
I dont know if your issue is already resolved but I some time ago I had random disconnects.
Actually there was no disconnect more like a freeze of my electronic. I could resolve it (after many hours of searching) as electrostatic discharges which my spindle generated during milling.

The issue was resolved after I connected the spindle shaft to ground with a 1MOhm Resistor.

What controller are you using. Ramps 1.4? Is the software freezing or the machine refusing to move/ randomly locking up. You could have a bad controller. Also non genuine arduinos have different USB-serial converters so it could be a comms issue.

I’d try reprogramming the Arduino and if that doesnt work possibly try a different arduino. Also try talking to it through a serial monitor (not the arduino one) and see if it works. I had an arduino lock up its serial comms in a project once as it didnt get a data terminal ready signal.

Yes, I connected the shaft of the spindle motor to ground using a 1 MOhm resistor. My motor had a metal mount so I used that. You can also try to ground an internal bearring. As I said it was not the fault of the Arduino / fake Arduino / serial converter or operating system. Due to the high rotation speed my spindle motor was electrostatically charged and as soon I started milling it caused an error on the usb line.
